The Base as Well as The Rest of the Stool is Substantially Made Out of Heavy - Sturdy Cast Iron and it has an Overall Weight of Approx. 15 Pounds. The Thick ( 1 3/4 Inches ) Solid Wood Slab Top is Made Out of Indigenous North American Wormy Chestnut. The Wood Top Indicates Extensive Use and Age Related Imperfections and it has Very Nice Old Black Paint Giving it a Wonderful Authentic Look & Patina. The Iron Surfaces Also Indicate years of Use and Exposure and has Also Developed Wonderful Naturally Aged Look & Patina. The Top has a Large Age Crack that Does Not Effect its Usability, The Stool is in Very Strong - Sturdy Condition so it is Perfectly Usable and it Displays Very Nicely - Has a Great Old Look. The 4 Feet have Thick Felt Applied Pads so That it Will Protect The Surfaces that it is Displayed On. It Could Also Be Used as a Small Table - Plant Stand or Just The Perfect Accent Piece.
