Very large slurry box with parts in rosewood veneer, marquetry nets and geometric marquetry decorations on the top. The box rests on four Louis XV style arched feet.
This box was probably a wig box. Indeed the wearing of the wig was very fashionable throughout the 18th century, these large flat boxes were used to store them.
