All artwork was acquired from an artist, R. Wagner’s Midcentury home in Youngstown, OH. All artwork created in the 1950’s-1960’s were created when Wagner worked alongside popular artist Ralph Humphrey while studying painting at Youngstown University, serving as Wagner’s teacher & mentor.

In the late 50’s, Humphrey and Wagner relocated to New York, where they entered the art community that included such luminaries as Theodoros Stamos and Mark Rothko. less
