His own company produced decorative items like pink flamingoes.
In 1956 Keeler developed the first successful, true red glaze which he called “Ming Dragon Blood” and he featured this in a “Ming” line of jars and planters.
In the late 1950s he used this fabulous red in a line of buffet dishes featuring lobsters. A variety of bowls, shakers and platters were all made with these gloriously red lobsters.
This divided server features a red lobster seated over 2 lettuce leaf bowls. The details are incredible and the red couldn't be more vivid. See less
