He has more than 50 years of artistic experience, which gives him the status of Master.

Born on July 5, 1942 in Taquaritinga-SP, Maguetas was a professor of design and hairdressing after 1960. The activity was mainly always hairdressing, which then created music (lyrics and melodies), sculptures and poems.

Maguetas' art is an introduction to the history of Impressionism in Brazil and around the world. He spent much of his life in the arduous search for color, harmony, shade and perfect form.

Impressionism was born spontaneously, because it was born from the need to reproduce moments quickly, preserving natural light in each scene. The colors, tones and lights are Brazilian, as are most of the landscapes, qualifying his work as “Tropical Impressionism”.

If these main principles are Brazilian landscapes, interiors, portraits and the effects of light and shadow on still lifes and floral arrangements. If scenes and scenes of women remind us of an idealized world of nature and affection, a world lost in the frenetic and anxious cities of the 21st century. If natures deaths reveal a unique use of color and composition in the best tradition of the past.
