Description: A circa 1910 merchant chest made of both cedar and cypress wood, crafted with expert precision and detail. Comprised of … more A circa 1910 merchant chest made of both cedar and cypress wood, crafted with expert precision and detail. Comprised of three small drawers over three larger ones with a pair of sliding, elm doors above. The dark hardware is all original with hand forged pulls and straps that add stability and tightness to the joints. The large drawers do not lock and are a little proud of the front of the cabinet - in other words, when closed they stick out about 3/8" from the cabinet front. The dark chestnut color of the wood is enhanced by the satin wax finish. This is a well used antique/cabinet chest with the condition commensurate with age. less
