Pendulum clock built in the 70s. The story of this object is somewhat particular: some time ago an elderly ladies with a kind appearance entered our shop, asking if it could observe our goods. At a certain point he told us that he was a watchmaker, employed in the 70s at the Modena Lowell watch company, and that he had an interesting object to show us at home. He explained that in those years the company wanted to propose some innovations in the market of classic pendulum watches and that he was precisely the person dedicated to building prototypes, who would then be examined for the production in series \. this pendulum was not chosen For this production and the manufacturer took it home. For over 50 years he has been kept by his creator. The clock is perfectly functional, with manual charge, which can be operated via chromed steel chain gears to which three different weight counterweights are placed at the end that mark time going down. The front plexi compartment is smooth and therefore facilitates charging operations. The maximum charge guarantees 6 -day autonomy. The clock rinses the hours, half -hour and quarters of an hour, with three different combinations, as the sound is produced by 4 independent brass hammers. The envelope of the entire pendulum clock is in lacquered multilayer wood. Since this object was born as a prototype, it does not present the company of the company that produced it. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution less
