Original pen and walnut ink drawing of a female nude in pigeon pose by contemporary artist Michelle Arnold Paine. The drawing on 100% cotton archival watercolor paper is mounted on a wooden panel which is wired and ready to hang. The surface of the drawing has a thin coating of wax to protect the drawing.
I created this figure drawing with a traditional pen nib and walnut ink. I love life drawing, exploring the line between creating a realistic image and exploring the beauty of the flowing ink on the paper. My figure drawings are created from a live model within in a limited time frame.
The drawing is signed by me, the artist.
