This version of her work is known in literary circles as the "pirated" Peter Rabbit. Potter's publisher (Frederick Warne) failed to get a copyright when it was first published in England, and an American publishing house picked up on this and republished the work in the States. You can rest assured that Frederick Warne did not make this same mistake when publishing her future works!

This is an original antique print - not a reproduction. It is in excellent condition with no imperfections. The print is carefully packaged in an archival plastic sleeve with backing board, and shipped in a cardboard flat mailer with cardboard insert.
