Although formica has been around since … more This is a 12" serving tray with pierced silver and rich brown wood-look formica. Although formica has been around since 1913, it really hit it's heyday in the1950's and 1960's as a fashion element. Sheffield was a s well known producer of silver plate and created several pieces of silver mixed with formica. It is almost impossible to tell the difference between the formica and real wood. Beautiful and highly useable/functional for drinks, ice buckets, and serving. less
