Description: Fresh from a superb New York City estate, we have a pleasure to offer you this gorgeous EXTRA LARGE Antique … more Fresh from a superb New York City estate, we have a pleasure to offer you this gorgeous EXTRA LARGE Antique French CENTERPIECE. Comprised of a an extra large oval hand painted Porcelain CHARGER plate by SEVRES, and an elaborate footed gold painted metal structure with handles. Awesome decoration, great contrast of cobalt blue & gold colors. Featured is a courting scene young man and woman, undoubtedly French Royalty of the time. Painting is signed "A. Max". Plate bears multiple marks of SEVRES, on the underside, it was made at the turn of the 19th to 20th century. Extra large size at 19.5" wide, 12.25" across and 7" in height, while the plate alone is 16" x 12". It is in good condition, light age / use wear, patina on the metal is not original, it has been painted on, hence the appearance and deeply discounted price (please see photos).
