A burl is a tree growth in which the grain has grown is a deformed manor, resulting in a highly prized and uniquely patterned wood - it is valued and sought after by artists, furniture makers, and sculptors. This one of a kind carving is magnificently patterned and hand signed by the artist, Rob Martin. The front of the carving was covered with a hard glass-like clear finish for protection. The panther bounds forth from a metal pole that connects into a wooden, rectangular base. One piece exists. See less
