This model (ammensessel, chaise de nourrice, sedia da balia) specially designed for nannies (woman, called a wet nurse, who would breastfeed other people's children for a fee), has a low seat and the rear legs curved for stability. This model is shown in the 1883 catalogue.
The cane is in good condition, the patina is consistent with age and use. This piece has an attribution mark,
