Each of the panels … Read more This magnificent James Mont screen, created in 1950, is a stunning example of Mont's Chinese-modern style. Each of the panels is hand-finished with a verre eglomise design in gold metal leaf, backed with a white metal leaf. The mirrors are framed in Mont's smoked-silver metal-leaf technique and are formed with pierced bases and pagoda-style tops. as seen in "Modern Americana: Studio Furniture From High Craft to High Glam" edited by Todd Merrill and Julie Iovine, published by Rizzoli in 2008/2018. Measuring 73" H x 80" W x 1 1/5" D (185.42 H x 213.34 W x 3.05 D cm), this screen is a true masterpiece of design and craftsmanship. See less
