A rare 1925-30 incense burner by Robj the Paris France based company of Jean Born and his business partner Lucien Willmetz. They had their store at 3 Cite d’Hauteville in Paris. Robj did not design or produce its own products yet commissioned designers to design items for them and had them produced by the best craftsmen of the era.
A shade in colored glass paste rests on a forged iron base in a nice deep-brown patina. Both base and shade are signed Robj Paris.
The piece is 12.7 cm (5 inches) high and the base has a diameter of 9 cm. It is in very condition. Some minimal chips on the rim, non-disturbing and hidden by the wrought iron mount. It's wired with an American candelabra base socket and 2-prong plug.
