The Cobden-Chevalier Treaty of 1860 between Great Britain and France saw clocks, among other items, be exported in great quantity free of tariffs. Britain became a principal market of French clocks.
This probably explains the inscription in English on the enamel dial "Made in France", and on the back of the plate "Hands".

Antique clocks are not new clocks! A centenary clock may not be perfect, don't expect it to look like new. Color may vary slightly depending on screen settings and minor surface scratches.
NOTE: Although the clock is internally complete, in working order, and the movement has been serviced, the clock is not being sold as a time-measuring device, but as a unique antique artifact of unrivaled beauty as an interior decorative item.
