This antique rectangular-shaped table from France … more A French Louis XVI style side table with drawer, from the early 20th century. This antique rectangular-shaped table from France has been created in the Louis XVI style. The top has smoothly rounded corners and slightly overhangs the apron below which houses a full-sized drawer at one long side. This table has been nicely-carved in lamb's tongue trim about all four sides of the skirt, creating a rectangular-shaped panel on each side, and further embellished with carved flower heads wrapping each of the rounded corners, just about the legs. This piece is presented upon four rounded and flute-carved legs, gently tapering towards their bronze feet. The table retains its original paint, which is primarily beige, with subtle hints of green, and wood showing through about some of the edges. This early 20th century French Louis XVI style table, with its smaller footprint and floatability, offers endless functionality throughout the home. less
