The Wolfgang Hoffman 806 "Bullet" Side Table is a gorgeous, classic streamliner piece. It features three glossy black tiers and a metal frame with a sleek, minimalist, modern design. The table is perfect for use as a side table or accent piece in any contemporary living space.
Wolfgang Hoffman was an Austrian-American architect & designer born in 1900, active in the modernist movement from 1926-1942. He was the Howell furniture company's resident designer from 1934-1942, where he developed a strong repertoire of modernist chromed steel furniture. Howell’s 1938 catalogue praises him, under his photograph, as follower: “Mr. Wolfgang Hoffmann, internationally recognized as an authority in the development of authentic modern furniture, designs for Howell… The breadth of his experience and the flexibility of his creative genius are reflected in the complete Howell Chromsteel furniture line presented in the catalogue”.
This table is in excellent condition with a fresh gloss refinish done professionally by hand.
