It is an antique circa 1900. It comes from Switzerland. It has two fantastic, very detailed carved bears on their hind legs carrying the seat. They have we glass eyes. They look like they’re marching in the same direction. One has mouth wide open. I tried to get detailed shots of the expressions on their faces. It is in the form of a child’s bench or seat. The top lifts to reveal a music box. Unfortunately, the original owners family could not locate the key to wind the music box. I wound it slightly with needle nose, pliers, and it seems to be holding up. If you spin the wheel manually, it plays so it needs to be worked on, or cleaned, or the on off mechanism, I am not quite sure. It does sound beautiful. The music player is marked Swiss, and has 36 keys. It is fantastic as a standalone piece. less
