This is an amazing set of 7 vintage cocktail glasses signed by Culver, Ltd. They have a great shape which allows them to be classified as rocks glasses, lowballs, whiskey glasses, punch glasses, old fashioned glasses. This pattern was Culver's 'Fleur de Lis" pattern produced in the 1940s and 50s, evident by the script style of the Culver marking, visible on each glass (see pictures). The Fleur de Lis pattern is rather hard to find in good condition these days.
This beautiful pattern features a background of thin, raised lines/stripes in various heights printed in a beautiful yellow shade (raised detail gives the glasses a wonderful textured feel), then the ornately detailed and textured 22k gold Fleur de Lis' repeat in two alternating sizes around the glasses. There are two 22k gold bands that have dotted or detailed textures above the main pattern and also again at the top rim.
Glasses are heavy and well made - The attractive flared shape further accents their HR/MCM design and the shape and weight fit wonderfully and comfortably in your hand. All glasses are signed "Culver, Ltd." (see pictures).
