Vintage; Antique C.1870's-C1910, French Belle O'Poque, Ormolu Gilded Bronze fantastic and whimsical Neoclassical adorned patinated putti/cherub figurine lamps. A phantasmal; trio of Cupids, holding festooned laurel leaf garland and/or in addition to laurel leaf crowns, sitting atop round bases, with Greco-Roman relief figures, nobleman and mythical characters, sitting atop a hexagonal-cut and honed cream and inlaid burgundy marble leaves, while the footed base are gilded claw feet. All while the cherubs are presumed and holding up in suspension, the central section; while one begins to traverses upwards and down, to distinguish the numerous details, we come upon a urn or trophy-like form, all in marble while the bronze details, what the cherubs are holding, a trophy-like marble and bronze urns, which showcase, a gargoyle like embellished faces to the faceted corners. While also uplifting towards a 5-candle, candelabrum on each lamp; which each candle holder has removable cup covers, in which to be able to maintain and clean the wax off, and not intrude within the mainframe of each candle holder, all original to the lamps, gilded details throughout these French. tall and verifiably heavy bronze and marble lamps. Lamps were newly re-wired by the current owner who has had these since the late C.1960's-currently. and had purchased them in Manhattan, NYC Antique store, while living there off 5th. Avenue then, but as recently as the late 1980's had them electrified, in NYC prior to relocating within a gated Boca Raton Exclusive Member Community. A skilled process ensued to make these electrified, considering all the tiered levels and material in which to go thru and do such a task, but still have a measure of candles, in which also to illuminate a dinner table, entry, server, Soiree staged tables cape party table, or that special place that offsets such a spectacular set of lamps. Formal and traditional, with a high end sophisticated palette abounds, but the intricacy of the lamps refer to historical period and references, but made with the utmost of quality of materials.
