Vintage style meets maximum functionality in this fabulous round tortoiseshell rattan lidded hamper with its earthy color variations that add visual and textural interest. In excellent overall structural condition with age-appropriate wear such the exterior lacquered finish which has a toned-down sheen and a slightly darkened interior from natural aging. Hand fashioned in Indonesia, circa 1960/1970 from rattan wefts using an over and under weave over rattan warps. This beauty measures 26” high with the lid on and 24½” with the lid off x 18” x 18” W/D; weight approximately 5 lbs. It has been used as a hamper with a cotton canvas liner (not included) but would work beautifully for all your laundry needs or extra storage for whatever odds and ends you may have that need to be stylishly stored.
