This marvelous set has a lovely shell and ribbon border with pierced sides in a very intricate pattern of leaves, scallops and crosses. The center of the large bowl is engraved with the initials "HR" and one side of the bowl is engraved with "May 28" and the other side "1908." Each of the small bowls are engraved "May 28" on one side and "1908" on the other side. The large serving bowl has the hallmarks of a lion, anchor and a G, which indicates Gorham, manufactured in 1908, as well as design number of A1998 and stamp STERLING". The small baskets each have the same hallmarks, but with design number A4780 and the stamp "STERLING." Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Master bowl length from top to bottom=8-1/2 inches, Width side to side=5-1/8 inches, Depth=1-3/8 inches. Small bowls length=3-3/4 inches, width=2-1/2 inches, Depth=3/4 inches. This beautiful serving set has been well cared for, gently used and is in excellent antique condition. There is light scratching on the tableside bottom of the large serving basket that does not impact the beauty of this set.
