Signed Carved white marble and green sculpture, abstract torso figure that swivels on black marble base by Luis R Cuevas. Contemporary. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico. Was active and lived in California. A prolific artist who moved to sculpture later in his career.
Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, Luis R. Cuevas (1932-2019) moved to California and attended the California School for Fine Arts and the Chouinard Art Institute in Las Angeles. His paintings are heavily influenced by his Latin roots. less
