A nice French art deco pendant in nickel plated solid brass or bronze made around 1930. It holds a bowl in frosted molded-pressed glass. Showing a nice pattern of anemones. A well-known design by Maurice Model which was used for bowls panels side-shades and globes. Etablissements M.Model, the company of Maurice Jules Model (1900-1973), was created in 1925. With its shop and offices at 18 rue des Fêtes in Paris. And in 1928 opened a glass factory Cristalleries de Verdun at 10 rue Dame-Zabée in Verdun. Some of the shades for lighting Maurice Model made were unsigned. Some are signed M.Model others Verdun France. The factory was heavily bombed in June 1940 and subsequently closed.
The bowl has a diameter of 35 cm (13,78 inches). The chandelier has a total height of 49 cm (19,29"). It is in very good condition. I replated and patinated the mount and rewired the fixture with an American standard size socket.
