A very rare French 1925-1930 art deco pendant light in nickel plated solid brass or bronze. Note the mounting with its beautiful canopy. It holds a very rare bowl signed Jany. Done in clear frosted acid-engraved glass. Little is known about Jany. It was a shop selling art deco lighting and table ware. Sometimes we can see small hand painted perfume burners and night lamps made by the workshop of Jean-Simon Peynaud with a Jany signature. I never saw an acid engraved Jany lamp shade like on this pendant before. The bowl has a diameter of 34,5 cm (13,58 inches). The chandelier has a height of 50,5 cm (19,88"). It is in excellent condition. I replated and patinated the mount and rewired the fixture with an American standard size socket.
