The gracious, naturalistic form so favored by King Louis XV has been aptly expressed, with an arched seatback crowned with an heraldic crest flanked by floral and foliate sprays. The sprays lead the eyes to the scrolled and padded armrests, which blend into the seat framework comprised of a subtly undulating apron enhanced with shell and foliates, repeated on the scrolled legs.
