A rare French 1928-1933 art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass or bronze by Maynadier.
The Paris France based company of Pierre Maynadier designed and produced lamps in art deco style. He mainly used glasses by Muller frères and Schneider for his creations in bronze and sometimes wrought iron. The shades that are signed P. Maynadier were produced exclusively for Maynadier by Muller Freres in Luneville.
The high quality Maynadier mounting holds a thick shade in molded-pressed glass. It is signed P. Maynadier on the rim. The chandelier has a height of 69 cm (27,17") and a diameter of 35 cm (13-3/4"). I have re-nickeled the mounting. And it comes newly wired. The bowl is in good condition. One very small and unimportant chip (see last two pictures) that only shows if you know where to look for it. The chandelier holds an American standard socket.
