A rare French 1930 art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass or bronze holding a large Muller shade. The thick shade in clear frosted molded-pressed glass is signed Muller frères Luneville. A nice and very rare model by this famous French glass manufacturer. It has a height of 25 cm and is 36 cm wide (14,17"). One of the largest model bowls Muller produced. The shape of the shade makes a nice match with the canopy (ceiling cap). The chandelier has a total drop of about 61 cm (around 24"). It's in very good condition. Some tiny chips and irregularities of molding around the rim and of course like most thick molded shades the glass shows internal hairlines due to the cooling down process after production. See last picture. I have re-nickeled the mounting. And it comes newly wired. The canopy has a loop on the inside so it can hang on a hook in the ceiling. The chandelier is wired with an American standard base socket.
