H. PETITOT & MULLER FRERES
A nice 1930 French art deco chandelier by Petitot with a large bowl by the glass factory of Muller frères. Done in frosted salmon colored molded-pressed glass and nickel-plated bronze, by the famous Paris based company of Hubert Petitot (10 rue du Vert-Bois). His father Alexandre Petitot founded the company in 1878. Hubert took over after the first world war.
The thick shade is signed Muller freres Luneville. A nice and wanted model by this famous French glass manufacturer. The pendant has a total drop of 42,5 cm (16,7") and the bowl has a diameter of 35,2 cm (13,86 inches). It is in very good condition. Some superficial small scratches in the center of the shade. And some air bubbles inside the glass. I have re-nickeled the mounting. And it comes newly wired. The chandelier holds an American standard base socket.
