DEGUE
A nice French art deco pendant light made around 1925-1935 in nickel plated bronze or solid brass. The chandelier … more DEGUE
A nice French art deco pendant light made around 1925-1935 in nickel plated bronze or solid brass. The chandelier holds a nice Degué bowl in clear frosted pressed glass. It is marked Negra. A handful unsigned Degué models have marks like Negra or Roc. They are titles and no company names. This negra bowl is the only model Degue made with this obscure name.
The bowl is represented as model #587 in the old Degué product catalog, see pictures. The catalog is no part of this sale.
The pendant has a total height of 41 cm (16,2 inches) and a diameter of 35 cm (13-3/4"). The lamp is in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the authentic fixture. It's rewired and holds an American standard socket.
