I always wanted a buddha over my fireplace after designer Mario Buatta had one over his fireplace on the cover of ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST. I framed it in an acrylic box to protect it. You can not find these real buddha paintings in China anymore. Maurice and Carolyn Abravanel (Utah Symphony Director) went to China and tried to hunt one down and Carolyn told me they could not find anything as beautiful as this buddha.

I bought it from a San Fransisco ART dealer who visited my design studio once a year and sold me great pieces of art. He told me it was a hundred years old at the time of my purchase, this buddha is mid 19th century.

BEAUTIFULLY painted with exquisite detailing and color choices. Excellent condition. I do not have an artists name but I imagine a buddha expert would determine who painted it.

If you have enough room above your Mario Buatta fireplace, this would look great!! Tremendous piece. PRICE $5700 less
