Light as a feather - a very fine Chinese 'eggshell' porcelain bowl hand painted inside and out. The outside in a millefiori design interspersed with colorful dragons against a gilt/gold background. The inside with a central green dragon in a gold medallion surrounded by a green "crashing waves" border.
Rose & green Ruyi border at top rim (inside and out) and a green crashing wave border at base. Comes with original padded box with bone clasps.
Tongzhi seal mark in red stamped on the underside.
Mid 20th Century. A exceptionally pretty bowl - we have stands available for sale if required.
Acquired from a collector of fine Chinese porcelains who has acquired such over the last 40 years - ;this would make a nice gift.
