They are signed Hubbard each one. Tom Hubbard worked in soda fired porcelain with celadon, Which these are. There are three at about 11.25" to 11.75". There are no chips, cracks, nor are there any repairs. The colors are deep and bright. Tom Hubbard is an interdisciplinary artist. His practice includes ceramics, photography, mixed media works and public art installations. Tempered by a minimalist approach, loss, history, memory, and the passage of time are threads often running through his work. Recent commissions include the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art and public art commissions for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority and the City of Columbus, OH. In 2013, Hubbard was selected for the first Open Studio Residency at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. He has led workshops and spoken widely about his work and approach to art making including a recent TEDx talk in Augusta, GA. Hubbard’s work has been published in Ceramics Monthly and Ceramics: Art & Perception. His work has been exhibited widely in both the U.S. and The Netherlands and is included in several private and corporate collections including the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, The Community Foundation for the Central Savannah River Area and the University of Saint Francis. Hubbard was recently awarded a McKnight Foundation residency at the Northern Clay Center and had work selected for the juried national exhibition at the Red Lodge Clay Center. Tom Hubbard was born in San Francisco and received a BFA from Indiana University. He grew up in the midwest and lived in Maine, Indiana, The Netherlands, Ohio and Georgia before moving to Massachusetts in 2018. less
