Original Serigraph Print "Reech" by Victor Vasarely
Victor Vasarely is an intensely serious and dedicated artist and a tireless perfectionist. The ancestry of his art, now referred to as "Hard-Edge" or "the new realism", can be traced back to Mondrian. Today Vasarely is its chief theoretician and most inventive practitioner.
"Reech" is typical of Vasarely's art. Haunting, hypnotic, almost kinetic in their mobility, two spheres drawn together. The colors and precise geometric shapes add to the fascinating mystery of this piece.
Born in Hungary in 1908, Vasarely attended the Academy of Painting and the Budapest Bauhaus there.
