Painted on canvas, this nautical piece depicts a large wood ship at sea. All of its masts are at full sail and appear to be going at full speed in high wind. The sea beneath the ship is in a deep ocean blue with white surfs. The skyline behind the vessel is a baby blue with a few clouds just on the horizon. In the upper left corner of the painting, three seagulls fly above the masts. The frame is beautiful in brown, with an ornately carved giltwood detail in the center of the frame. The inner frame is covered in a creamy linen fabric.

The artist's signature is located in the bottom right corner. At the back, a wire for hanging is stretched across.
