EMILE LOMBART
A beautiful art deco vase made in the Faïencerie de Saint-Ghislain. The vase model #180 was decorated by Emile Lombart the director of faïencerie de St-Ghislain. Blue white gold and black enamel was used. The vase is 10,79 inches (27,4 cm) high and has a diameter of 7,28 inches (18,5 cm). It is in very good condition.
Emile Lombart (1859-1938) worked as pottery painter in the faïencerie de Wasmuel. In 1892 he started together with François Dubois and his son Antoine Dubois the faïencerie de St-Ghislain. Dubois and his son left the firm in 1909 and Lombart continued as director. The company closed in 1963.
