Stunning complimentary design and colors of different varieties of pheasant feathers; each box is hinged and felt lined, measuring 6”x4”x4”. With date on original sticker being 1975, these were possibly produced in Court’s early San Francisco design studio prior to shifting his artistic focus to his famed metal ware.

According to research conducted , Mr. Court was a native Minnesotan, fascinated with collecting specimens from nature to incorporate into his designs. The detailed, artful composition and softness of these boxes will add a serene touch of nature and subtle elegance to any space.
These boxes have been researched to the best of my ability and I have found only one other example(a beautiful shell covered box listed on this site by another seller.) This is a rare opportunity to collect great American mid century design history. less
