A wonderful large ball shaped vase. Around 1945-1950. An art deco style vase made in the famous Emaux Cloisonné techniques in the manner of Longwy.
The Boch family owed several companies that made pottery. Not only the one in Longwy but also the Belgian plant in la Louviere. These well-known Keramis-Boch factories in the city of la Louvière Belgium were directed in the 20s by Charles Catteau. After the second worldwar the factory made a serial of art pottery signed "emaux de Louviere". 1950 onwards the plant continued making household ceramics only.
Some 20 years ago Keramis la Louvière issued a series of vases in the style of Charles Catteau and signed them " keralouve" .
The vase is in excellent condition. It has a weight of 3,2 kilos. It is 11,65 inches (29,6 cm) high and 11,57"(29,4 cm) wide.
