It is American. Their is a manufacturing mark and numbers. The beaded work on the base is very detailed. To the top of the flower pod swirl it is is 5" H and to where the lid or top gets removed it is 3" H. This can be used for so many purposes. Very chic. Makes a great desk accessory.
