This Mirror is one of the most costly items produced by Meissen due to the amount of detail and skill that goes into making just one piece.

Framed in very dimensional wreath of Forget-me-not flowers overlapping a painted cabochon faux jewel oval border At the innermost ring, blue and pink pastel floral petals ruffle around the mirror. At the top two angelic cherubs hold a floral swag. At the bottom there is a pink bow.

This was a very complicated piece of art and it required a tremendous amount of work to create one single mirror

The cherubs wings, robes, arms and fingers are all still intact. Just some of the flowers and leaves have been chipped and professionally repaired. They are quite well done. Someone thought enough of this to have some restoration done to it. Finding one of these without the chipped leaves and flowers is near impossible if not totally impossible considering it's age and delicacy. It's really beautiful and you have to study it out to see the repairs. less
