So colorful! This is a wonderful lithograph by sought after artist Emmanuel Mané-Katz (Ukrainian/French, 1894-1962). Emmanuel Mané-Katz was a prominent modernist in Paris at the beginning of the twentieth century. He studied at the Beaux Arts Academy in the Ukraine, and eventually settled in Paris. His participation in the School of Paris alongside modernists like Picasso, Chagall, and Soutine solidified him as an influential modernist painter. His work is part of the permanent collections of the Tate, the MOMA, and the Museum of Art in Israel.
This color lithograph is signed on the plate in the lower left. It depicts dancing and jubilation with musicians in bright shades of red, orange and purple.
