Fine pair of Royal Derby Porcelain plates marked on reverse with early painted crown above crossed batons and the letter … Read more Fine pair of Royal Derby Porcelain plates marked on reverse with early painted crown above crossed batons and the letter "D" under which is the number "94". All are in puce establishing manufacture at some time between 1784 and 1806

The painting is by William Longdon in the style of William Billingsley. The plates are decorated with boughs and fronds in the colors of autumn within a scalloped gilt border;The rim is highlighted with gold gilt as well. There is some slight gilt loss due to handling, as shown.

Dimensions: 8 1/2" (22cm) in diameter and 1" in depth.

Condition is very good. No hairlines, cracks, frits or ships. One age-related pinhead-size glaze pop. Overall remarkable state
