Vintage Alabaster Stone Abstract Sculpture, by Carolyn Beard, 1985. Signed and numbered piece.
This sculpture is in perfect condition, no chips or cracks in the alabaster or stand. The sculpture is done by "direct carving" which means drawing the form directly on the stone without making a model first. This work is created by using a variety of hand Tools consisting of hammer, chisels, steel points, rasps, files and hand sanding.
The finished work is a beautiful, elegant sculpture with great visual interest as your eyes continue to move around the sculpture.
