Rustic English work table belonging to artist Ira Yeager (American 1938-2022). This painted table served as Ira's palette in his bucolic Calistoga barn in Northern CA. The table has a large hinged top that slants towards the front like a large English school house desk. The lid opens to a large storage area with cubbies in the back. The desk is covered in oil and acrylic paint as expected with strong solid joinery. The large case is supported by square tapered legs. The table measures 21.5 inches from the floor to the apron. Could serve as a desk or display table with fascinating history and patina.
