Green Panels, Flowers, Gold Trim (c. 1940s-50s)
This is a very pretty, richly decorated tea cup and saucer made by Samuel Radford China (England). Radfords was in business from 1879 to 1955 (see thepotteries website for details), and the mark used on this piece is shown as circa 1938-1955. The pattern is numbered 7667, with bright green and white panels with thick gold trim and colorful sprays of flowers, on a scalloped shape.
This vintage cup and saucer set is in very good to excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, or utensil marks or wear. The gold trim has a bit of wear around the rim of the cup, but is very solid and intact on the handle, sides, and on the saucer. The saucer measures 5.5 inches. The cup is 2 inches high at the rim, 3.75 inches wide across the rim, and 1.75 inches wide across the foot ring.
The bottom of each piece has a green crown logo with "Radfords | Bone China | Made in England." There is a hand-written gold mark for 7667 / 12 v- on the bottom of the cup. less
