The maker, based on hallmarks is most likely William Hannay circa 1809-1810. Hallmarks include: "WH" "thistle," "d" and George III profile. There is an engraved monogram of "B." Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Length from end to end=6 inches, width at widest=2 inches, Depth at widest=1 inch. These marvelous antique sugar tongs have been well cared for, gently used and are in excellent condition, free from chips, repairs or other imperfections.
