Description: A fine and rare Sevres porcelain plate from the initial order of the "Service Ordinaire de Fontainebleau" ordered by King … more A fine and rare Sevres porcelain plate from the initial order of the "Service Ordinaire de Fontainebleau" ordered by King Louis Philippe (1773-1850) for the Chateau de Fontainebleau.

The plate is decorated with the monogram of Louis Philippe in gilt within the central rondel, flanked by two cherubs. An image of a lute sits below the monogram on a bed of clouds. The rim of the plate is in a deep cobalt which is intricately decorated with an arabesque foliate and tendril design i gilt.

In remarkable fine shape with no chips, hairlines or loss of gilt or enamel
