This brand comes from … Read more Transparent glass vase from the 1950s, signed on the base by the prestigious French company Daum. This brand comes from an old factory that Jean Daum (1825 – 1885), an expatriate from Alsace since 1870, had bought in Nancy in 1875. His heirs Auguste (1853 – 1909) and Antonin (1864 – 1930) were the famous glassmaker brothers from Nancy's school. The glass must be completely transparent and shiny, that is the maxim of the Daum workshops, this piece of the years represents the best spirit of Daum, very light and subtle while physically very heavy.
