The base has four feet with corbels attaching them to the center column. The coatrack measures 18.5" across the feet and x 66.75" tall. The finish appears to be original and here is some "alligator-ing" to the topcoat. The graining of the wood appears to identify it as oak. There are 3 replaced screws to the coat hooks. All else appears original. Overall it is in very good condition. Ala joints appear tight and no obvious repairs are visible. less
